Aethermon
Digimon Name: Aethermon (Derived from “Aether,” meaning the upper sky or the “fifth element” believed to fill the space above the mortal world, and “mon” for monster)
Type: Ultimate God Digimon, Virus Digimon (A Virus with the goal of deleting systems deemed corrupt) Attribute: Virus Level: Mega (Ultra/Super Mega) Family: Nightmare Soldiers, Metal Empire, Unknown
Appearance
Aethermon possesses a slender yet majestic build, standing approximately 3 meters tall. Its body is largely covered in sleek, dark armor, resembling polished obsidian, yet detailed with glowing purplish or golden accents in the gaps, as if cosmic energy is radiating from within.
On its back is a pair of massive wings, not like angel or bat wings, but like a condensed collection of dense, dark purple and black energy that continuously pulsates with tiny, shimmering stars. These wings can transform into thousands of sharp crystal fragments that can be launched at light speed.
Its face is hidden behind a helmet shaped like an ancient god’s mask, but with eye slits that glow with a cold, calculating light, either silver or bluish. A jewel constantly emits a faint glow on its forehead. Its aura is silent yet terrifying, like a bottomless abyss.
Background (The God Purger)
Aethermon is not a Digimon born from ordinary data. It is an anomaly, an entity that emerged from a fatal error within the Digital World system itself, or perhaps, from the collective wish of marginalized and oppressed Digimon who yearned for liberation. Legend holds that Aethermon “awakened” when the balance of the Digital World was threatened by corrupt or overly powerful God Digimon who had forgotten their true purpose and began to abuse their strength.
It is a mysterious loner, appearing only during crucial moments. Aethermon does not speak, does not ally, and shows no emotion. Its purpose is “purification”—to destroy any system or entity it deems to have crossed a boundary and become a parasite to the Digital World. To it, God Digimon who abuse their power are nothing more than a “bug” that needs to be deleted so the Digital World can function properly again. It is the inevitable executioner for the wayward gods.
Special Abilities
Aetherial Judgement: Aethermon summons a catastrophic storm of cosmic energy, capable of fundamentally erasing the opponent Digimon’s data from existence. This attack destroys not only the physical body but also the core data and soul of the Digimon, leaving a trace of void. Highly effective against corrupt Holy or Vaccine attribute Digimon.
Void Warp: Aethermon can distort the space and time around it, allowing it to move with unpredictable speed or perform short-range teleportation. It can also open small gates to the “void” to drag enemies in or launch attacks from another dimension. This ability can also be used to negate enemy attacks.
Cosmic Shard Volley: Its energy wings can shatter into thousands of sharp crystal fragments that shoot out at light speed towards the enemy. Each fragment is capable of piercing even the strongest defenses and exploding upon contact, causing severe data corruption.
Divine Nullification: A passive and active ability. Aethermon can significantly suppress or even completely nullify the special abilities of other God Digimon, especially those derived from divine or holy powers. This makes it extremely dangerous to any deity-level Digimon.
Data Assimilation: After defeating a powerful Digimon, especially a God Digimon, Aethermon can assimilate a small portion of their core data, which temporarily boosts its power or grants it partial access to the assimilated abilities.
